ok so i had a jasper it was dash 7371, i didn't know what sizes the nand was, so i read all 3 sizes, i updated to 13xxx(i forget the #'s) i read 16mb nand, and then i got the coolrunner running, i was able to get xell to run on the 16mb nand, i got the cpu key, jtag tool told me that the 512mb and 16mb were not valid with the cpu key that i got and only 256 would work, i made a freeboot with it and i wrote it to the nand, but its not booting, my switches are in the right spots(nrml) and phat, also i don't have my dvd drive plugged in, 1 thing i changed was the length of 3v3 cable, i was using headers so i ran the cable under the xbox to the bottom part (it lights up fine)

not sure if it matter but i also put glue on the 3v3 point(where the cable is soldered to the motherboard(jasper)

also the coolrunner only goes green once at the start(when i turn it on)

If your dashboard was 7371....why'd you do the reset glitch hack instead of the original jtag hack. o_O

The glue on the 3v3 point should not be an issue as long as the soldering you did was good and secure.

What you need to do is determine the nand size and be sure you are picking the right one. To do this:

Try reading the nand of the xbox and check for the following numbers for "FlashConfig" in the nandpro window that pops up when reading nand.

FlashConfig
01198010 - Xenon, Zephyr, Opus, Falcon
00023010 - Jasper 16mb
008A3020 - Jasper 256mb
00AA3020 - Jasper 512mb

its a 512mb

---------- Post added at 19:17 ---------- Previous post was at 19:16 ----------

but why does it give me a error when i use the cpu key and the 512mb nand to look at teh info on the kv

---------- Post added at 19:18 ---------- Previous post was at 19:17 ----------

also the freeboot file jtag tool made are the same size for the 256 mb and 512mb

---------- Post added at 19:19 ---------- Previous post was at 19:18 ----------

its not giving me the error now with the 512mb nand with the cpu key

Then thats what you should be using. Build the freeboot image using the 512mb nand and flash it and see if it works.

If not flash the original 512mb nand back and see if the console boots.(should boot with original nand even if coolrunner is installed)

not sure if this matters but i was using a knife to get some glue off one of the pins on the pin header, and it sparked and it turned on, i turned it off, and now when i got too write the nand, it gives me error(only at the starting), AA3020 programming block 0, i am writing the 512 nand right now

i am using standard composite cables

That is probably a problem...

Try power cycling the xbox.

Unplug the power cable and press the power button a few times. Then wait a minute or two and plug the power cable in and try writing to nand.

Well Xell gets flashed in the first couple blocks when writing the nand so if the error is showing up, its probably going to effect xell but go ahead and see if you can boot.
