If you want to fix it, you'll need a 1K resistor, good luck

the main cpu rest point? I wonder if just I made a poor connection because the pad is still on the board and didn't come up..

Common sense tells me that if I break a trace, I need to fix it.

If the chip doesn't reset the Xbox is because the reset pulse is not reaching the CPU, so repair all the damage you made and be careful with the Shielded cable.

So now i hooked my cr4 to my bb jasper and i have reset noise back. I have tried 7 of the dip setting while rotating through the postbit ohms. I havent gotten it to boot into xell yet.. Am I missing a step or is my chip faulty?

I highly doubt it's faulty. Have you tried with a long CPU_Rst wire?

piece of advice bro , i've been installing modchips since 1998 with the ps1 , i did complex installation on ps2 32 wires in ic , im really good at what i do , the cr4 XL is not faulty imo , i had like you a jasper 512 mb last week and i played with it for 4 hours with the 15 dips settings and all , DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND DONT LISTEN TO THE HATERS THAT WILL TELL YOU THAT IT'S YOU YOU YOU , they told me the same thing last week , i think i installed over 200 consoles with jtags so far and all the slims i do , they ALL BOOT INSTANTLY , even the late 2013 models with postfix adapter , DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BRO, get a slim ASAP , and for the haters out there , eat garbage before you tell me i dont know what im talking about , i was already modding when you guys were still smokin weed in high school

So why do you quote me if you just said the same I've done?

People here get their consoles working, Jtag is nothing compared to this. If you go to the subforum you'll see that people can get it working. Having a good soldering skill is a must here, but is not all. I also know how to install a ****** on a ps2 and some consoles are so stubborn that I just send them back or throw them to the "bored pile".

If you are so sure that your board is unglitchable, send it to someone here and see it by yourself.

What gauge, I have radio shack hook up wire if that works?
If it's solid core, use kynar, anything thicker may rip the pad. use something similar to the wires that came with the CR4.

I dont remeber and cant read it but im pretty sure its a high 20s
Something like 22AWG is fine, if it feels thick, be careful when bending it, you don't want to rip a pad

was just making you realize that with a slim console , you're gonna glitch your board in 15 secs , don't you have better things to do than playing 2 weeks in a console , how much are you paid by the hour bro , what a waste of time , go on make quotes until you reach 350 pages on this thread and you'll comeback in your head and say , F... i don't want to admit it but that dude was right! just tryin to make your life more easy bro , buy a SLIMMMMMMMMMMM
