Hello.
Today i have Jasper 16mb. Ive done RGH as always. Second time used j-runner instead of jtagtool. Xell loaded normally as always. Then i created an image ( tried with both jrunner and xebuild itself ) and flashed console with it ( tried both rawflash and jrunner directly ). Used CR revB, used cap ( tried without it, doesnt boot ). Okay, console boots in first 2 flashes. When the animation of xbox appears it moves like in slow motion and at the end freezes. First thing i tried was to reflash and recreate image, which didint help. Then most strangest thing happened... I Reflashed the console to stock nand, disabled CR by putting it to PRG. And the same thing started to happen even with stock nand :( What should i do next? There is no red lights or something, tried to wait in about 1-2mins, nothing happens, it just freezes in both freeboot and stock nands.

Tyr re-routing your wires on the CR.

Okay, i completely desoldered all points and console started to boot, so it seems it was something to do with soldering. By the way, do the wires cause freezes at the bottom even if CR is set to PRG?

Some 16MB Jasper's freeze with the cap in place. Although you say it won't boot without it, I'd unbridge/remove the cap and try again, giving it plenty of time to try to boot. You may also want to post pictures of your work so that the soldering is ruled out.

Yes i heard that, but same happened with stock nand and CR disabled ( set to PRG ). Or its still have influence even if its disabled?

Okay, rerouted and resoldered wires and everything seems to be working. But noticed some weird thing. When i try to turn off the console, its still working for about 5-10 seconds without anything on tv. Even green light flashes one more time before shutting down.

Edit: counted till 20sec, till it shut down. I mean everything shuts down, execpt fans works for more 20sec.

It does take a sec for it to shut down. But the xbox is not freezing anymore correct?

Green light flashing on the console or cr at power down?

If it's the console I've had this happen on my live box when cloud sync and background downloads enabled.

I was thinking like that... but after some work with it, it freezes again. Sometines it freezes on startup, some times after 1-2min, sometimes after 10-30min. What should i do? Try repositioning wires? Remove cap. What else can i try?

Console
Please post pics of wireing so we can rule that as being an issue out. 9 out of 10 times thats the problem after installing a CR.

With the cap on, try increasing the length of PLL_BYPASS (approx 5-7 cm) and obviously trying it with different layout/position.

I had the same issue with a Jasper. The routing of the wires on the bottom is key. Especially the yellow wire. It took me a couple hours to get the boot times down to 20 seconds or so. But you just have to keep messing with the wires.

Re-soldered everything with new wires, repossitioned them and console stopped freezing ( with CAP ). Thanks for everyones effort to help me. It just strange, its like magic, everything happens randomly :D Yesterday I repositioned and resoldered lot of times. Today i woke up, redone everything like yesterday and everything started to work.
