This is not your average RGH issue, although I cant be 100% sure at this stage. It appeared to work fine on stock nand saying that I never ran it for more than about 5 minutes.

Anyway, after about 10 minutes of running after gliltching in under 5 seconds consistantly it freezes, I have spent ages moving around the cabling (as per all guides etc) I now have the blue one running as Martin C suggested in another recent post, on top of the board along side the fans, the green and yellow cables are placed at the minute as per Ubbers cable placement guide.

the temp on the GPU is about 62 degrees......when it freezes

Any other suggestions please?

Hahaha, Seanr28 was the first one on TX to tell us to instal the 68np cap against freezing and faster boot on the Jaspers.
its always helped all my jaspers,so thanks seanr28.lol. but recently i did put it on a few hoping to improve thier boot times, but it caused freezing.only seen it happen on 2 consoles like that so far,so was just curious if it was one of those stubborn 16mb jaspers that maybe he had installed it to.

im gonna say flash stock nand back and run it a while and see what happens,as martin will tell you,can rule out quite a few things by doing that.

to be honest that was going to be my next test, but was really trying to avoid doing that.

I do recall some time ago I fitted a cap on a 16mb jasper and it made it freeze.

This one now glitches within pretty much 3 seconds everytime

just an update, i have checked over all cables again, i noticed that the green cable had at some point been pinched, anyway changed it for a new one, re-routed it away from all overs and ran along the bottom of the x-clamps, and its just froze again and the temp is 61 degrees............now I am really at a loss with this one. never yet seen any jaspers do this. As i say I am not convinced that its teh RGH related now.

It also has dashlanuch 2.29 installed and is CB 6570, just in case that may have any rellivance!

Try reflashing it with Dashlaunch 2.27 some people have been having problems with 2.29, I had one I was having freeze problems and I reflashed to 2.27 and it cleared it up.

you know,i have ran into an issue ona few consoles here latley where after i install dl,the console freezes on certain xgd3 games.not sure one has anything to do with the other, but try creating a gg image without dl patches.with a non dl patched image i had no issues with xgd3 at all, thenh i install dl and the problem happened 100% of the time,no matter what dl i installed. has only happened on 3 consoles so far.worth a shot before going back to stock.

I'll give it ago, did not think it would be as I have done loads of RGH recently all using dashlaunch 2.29, but funnily enough not a 16Mb jasper!

Will test a little later and update:)

put CPU_RST on top of the motherboard, and make sure to insulate the green wire with some electrical tape. That makes all my jaspers boot up super quick!

I only tested it for about 5-6 minutes before hand and appeared fine.

So do you think a reflow may fix it?

Not seen any jaspers with this issue before and I have had loads of them come through the door for modding over the last 2 years.

did you ever try a gbuild image without dashlaunch patches at all?

What software does dash launch launch? i had freezes with certain fsd placement on ext hdd on a 16mb jasper. cap did appear to help freezing issues and boot times also.
