Re: Jasper showing as Falcon ???

ok guys i think it really is a falcon, but what i don't get is the fact that the identification through the power supply plug would classify this mobo as a jasper FOR SURE !!!... here is what the flash dump tool shows, it says it's a falcon version 3.0 with smc 1.6... so i flash it with the coolrunner with the falcon.jed ... correct ??

thanx for the fast input. i was pretty sure that's what it was but i still don't get why the power plug shows that it's jasper (or maybe the power plug test isn't 100% accurate)....

Does your console say 12.1a on the back sticker for the power info
the stickers are actually all gone (it's my friends box)... and he traded it with someone for his RROD xbox and some cash.... so not sure of the origin, i'm going to snap some pics of the power plug, and post them little later on.

thanks everyone for your input.

The only difference between falcon and jasper plugs besides the amp difference is that on the Jasper the little bar at the top is split to prevent you from plugging that into an older console eg. Falcon

Also you can know my checking the chipset
can you go into more detail on how to check the chipset ? i know that i've seen tuts that you can tell by looking at the mobo and the resistors on the left side and how many there are or something like that, but from those pics it looked like a jasper.
