I purchase the R-Jtag starter kit which doesn't included the Nand-X QSB, what are the solder points for 5v, D, B, E, F, and K? I couldn't find any picture or diagram on the forums.

Thanks.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

The wire install diagrams for reading the NAND are here.

These are the points for the R-JTAG install.

The green point on the left is EJ on the JRP - it is required to turn the console off during RATER testing.

Was the console working before you started: Y

When I run Rater though I immediately get Post A0 - Panic - VERIFY_SECOTP_6.

Any help?

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Completing the template with pics would help read this it is Ubergeeks install guide also talks about about fails etc. Short paragraph below

Full fail = 0xA0 as last post
0x21 or 0x22 or 0x87 as last post means that all checks were passed but something went wrong, possibly glitch timing wrong or too deep
If u get all 0xA0 on any dips then install is wrong, like cpu_rst or E/F is badly soldered
If you get 0x21, this usually means you are 1 DIP past optimal e.g DIP 4 gives 21-22 and DIP 5 gives 21.
Sometimes it will fail on 0x2E - this is way down on the boot cycle. This generally points to bad wiring or that an RROD is on the way and a reflow may be required or ideally a reball, specifically on the CPU.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Does the console still boot a stock NAND if you desolder D, E and F from the R-JTAG?

If so, run RATER with these wires removed (and on stock NAND) and see what output you get.

EDIT: this won't work on the newer dashboards, sorry.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Well spotted.

OP - you'll need to update to at least 15572 (as this is when the new bootloaders were released).

Just take it to 16537.

Alright, how would I go about updating the dash to 16537 since the console has 3RROD on boot? I load the original NAND back from backup but it still gets 3RROD.

Is this with 5V desoldered from the chip?

R-Jtag solder points

Yes the 5V goes from the R-Jtag 1.1 chip to the mb's solder point
Does that mean its disconnected or still connected? It needs to be disconnected when trying to boot stock.

Tapatalk misspelled it. Knot me.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Just a little FYI also...you have the AUD_Clamp wire soldered to the wrong clamp.

You have yours soldered to Q2N3, the AUD_Clamp is Q2N1.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Okay I updated the system to the latest dash, and re-soldered everything perfectly. For some reason on J-Runner I still get under Nand Info after reading the Nand 4 times:

6BL [CF] 14699 6BL[CF] Patch 1 16537
7BL [CG] 14699 7BL [CG] Patch 1 16537

even after upgraded the system to the latest dash as stated above. Is this correct?

That's fine.

That is telling you that the dashboard version was updated from 14699 to 16537.

Okay thanks, I checked the Aud_Clamp option and R-Jtag option.
Create Xell-Reloaded, Write Xell-Reloaded, Dips 7,8, 5 on and it won't boot to Xell

Also tried several dip settings, and jumper settings. It still wont glitch.

Re: R-Jtag solder points

Post rater log with stock nand by disconnecting d, e, and f wires, flash back to stock, boot with rater, post log. also this error usually around d, e, f wires.

Post a new RATER log please (three cycles should be enough).
