I am attempting an R-Jtag plus with a CR4 on a 16 MB Jasper motherboard. The console was running perfectly fine until I installed the CR4. I am using a JR Programmer v2.

Since installation of the CR4, I have tried booting both Xell and the stock NAND. If I try to boot the console to stock, with the CR4 installed, I get RROD code 0022. If I write Xell and try to boot, I get E79. With either Xell or the stock NAND written, one of two things happen with the CR4 itself: Sometimes it turns green, for one second, about every five seconds, and sometimes the green light just constantly flickers as if it is struggling to stay on.

Here is where it gets weird. If I desolder the 5v wire on the CR4 and flash the stock image, the console still boots into the retail dash as if it were brand new. I am 99% sure that I soldered correctly since I checked my work multiple times.View attachment 31846View attachment 31847View attachment 31848View attachment 31849View attachment 31850View attachment 31851View attachment 31852View attachment 31853

Did you select AUD_CLAMP when building your ECC? I also see all the dip switches still set to off.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I did select AUD_CLAMP when I built the ECC. I believe that the CR4 is supposed to have all the dips off for a Jasper.

You are wrong about the dips. dips 7-8 are used for console type, which if I remember correctly for a jasper would both be off, but you still need to set a timing dip, so 1-6. I have found that 3 is a good starting point on most consoles.

Thanks to all of you guys. I put away the Jasper for now and used the CR4 in a Corona that I have sitting around because I think they're easier. gavin_darkglide, I'll certainly keep that in mind for when I return to working on the Jasper.

I R-Jtagged + a mates Jasper using the CR4 and QSB's.
It ran brilliant/booted to dash within 1-2 glitches, then after about 2x weeks it was taking longer and longer to boot into the dashboard.
I then built a hacked image for RGH2+ and used this method instead,it normally boots now within 2-3 glitches and he's had no trouble what so ever using RGH2+ on his Jasper with the CR4 chip
