Really?... I always thought that was around the right amount? hmm...Untill there are better clearer pictures of your install its hard to say, but what i do know is that a bad install can work for a while. I also know theres a very small chance that your chip died and that the replacement also was faulty. Not all solder spots are critical for booting your stock nand. I can also tell from the picture of your chip that you are using too much solder on the solderpoints.
