Hello!

First: Sorry for my bad English - I`m from Germany.

My Smallblock Jasper takes very long to boot.
Here the times:

Coolrunner on Slim:
1. over 9 Minutes
2. 3:40 min
3. 3:40 min
4. 1:35 min
5. 3:10 min
Coolrunner on Phat:
1. 6:18 min
2. 1:20 min
3. 0:42 min
4. 0:47 min
5. 0:10 min
6. over 11 minutes

The cables are away from the red marked area in the Phat Wiring Troubleshooting Guide.
I also tried to solder the 3.3v Standby to the normal 3.3v.

Nothing helps.

Can someone give me a trick to solve the problem?

Thanks from Germany,
Peter

Are you using the 68nf Capacitor between point A and GND? If you are i would look for your solders and cable displacement. If not you should really try it, it makes A LOT of difference.
Latest CoolRunners already come with it build-in, or they came ready to solder (blue cap, long legs)

I`ve got the Coolrunner Rev.B!
I already resoldered the connections on the Coolrunner, but the Boottimes
are bad.

I had the same problem with small block jasper and had to fit the 68nf capacitor and now it is always around 10 seconds? I also had to put duck tape under the green , blue and yellow wires to shield the wires.

yes you do Peter :)
The capacitor would come activated if it was used for all boards. Since it's not, you have to bridge the points to activate them. That will make a huge difference in your timings.
report back please :)

Bridge the two points to activate the cap. Ur wire arnt tight either. They shouldnt be loose and your blue wire isn't supposed to go that Way. Put it through the whole with the yellow wire and try routing the green wire under the x clamps
