JTAG Jasper wont glitch

Someone has arsed this up, all I have is the ECC on the nand, Is it correct, who knows. Some of the resistors around the PLL_BYPASS were missing so Ive replaced them, Not 100% sure if Ive missed any or added 1 too many as Ive not got another Jasper to compare it against.

I didnt snap the QSB BTW, Thats how It came

All I am getting is 1 flash of the debug LED, Ive been over everything, Checked continuity in all the relevent places, Resoldered the CR wiring but nothing. Ive used a ECC from the last jasper I did but that didnt help. I struggling a little now.

Check your nand with the latest ver of Xnandhealer if it's fine then your ECC Image should be fine.

You can try adjusting the length of the cpu_rst wire (blue) or buy a Post QSB so you can glitch (given every thing else is ok).

Make sure your CR has the correct timing files and set to NOR

The CPU_PLL_BYPASS wire doesn't need trimming, no wires need trimming for phat consoles.

OP: have you added a cap (or bridged the pads on Rev B CoolRunner)?

I assume the CoolRunner is programmed with the Jasper file-set?

I'm not too sure about that STBY_CLK point.

What I would suggest is you solder to the alt STBY_CLK on the underside of the board (I believe it's FT2R2) and I would also unsolder the CPU_RST, take it across the top of the board (right next to the fans) and solder to the top side of that point. This helps reduce interference from the coils and the CPU_PLL_BYPASS.

I think, though I'm not sure on this, that there are different ECC files depending on the version of the Jasper (16/256/512). Do you know if it's a BB or not?

The best thing to do is try to get the original nand backup from whoever you got the board from and write it back and put the coolrunner switch to prg to disable it and check to see if the console boots.
Chances are there may be a fault on the board you havn't spotted if the console was in a bad way when you got it

Soldering looks good but I noticed that one of the resistors near the CPU_PLL point is not on its solder pads properly. (Looking at the picture its 2 pads left of the 10K ohm resistor directly under the CPU_PLL point).

I would go over those resistors again with flux and make sure they are set nice and straight on the pads.

Don't know if thats it or not but I know I've run into issues involving the resistors before where it looked like everything was fine but after going over all of them with flux again to make sure it had a nice strong clean connection everything was fixed for me. And the main point that will cause problems with glitching I believe is the CPU_PLL, so all parts near that point need to be in working order.
