you don't need to replace it - just use NANDpro to write it.

nandpro usb: -w256/512 <jasper xell 256mb>

EDIT: I've just checked JTAG tool and there's no provision for BB Jasper XeLL. There's Jasper, Jasperaud and Jasperboth but nothing for JasperBB.

I have jasper, jasperaud, jasperBBaud, jasperBBboth, and jasperboth. all these are located on the jtag tool Xell Bins
All of which I've already advised you can ignore.

Just flash the newly downloaded XeLL as advised in my previous post.

ok - so you used

nandpro usb: -w256 jasper_6723_hack_for_256mb_512mb.bin 0

and this isn't doing anything when you turn it on?

As long as you're using standard SMC wiring and not AUD_CLAMP and OPEN_TRAY, you should get XeLL on power up.

If not, you need to check your wiring. We know the file you downloaded from XBINS is meant for the job so it eliminates the problems.

That is the file I used and yes I wrote it in nandpro. I posted pics of my wireing and soldering and gut the thumbs up. the only point that I had concerns with was the db1f1 point as I said before it can be a bugger to solder to. the only other thing I could do is run it to the alternate point I guess but to be honest I've had others look at it to and they too said it looked fine.
Ow and yes I know to use standard def A/V cables for the xell. Figured that one out awhile ago!

Random thoughts:

What does 360Flash Dump tool say about your CB version? Is it definitely exploitable?

Take a pic of where the J2D2.2 wire goes (should be the RoL board). I just want to make sure the right point is being used!

If you have a multimeter, check for continuity between the J2D2.1 and the DB1F1 as well as the J2D2.2 and the point on the RoL board. Also check between J2D2.4 and J2D2.7 for resistance or continuity as I'm almost certain there's a fault with the wiring (that's if the CB version comes back as ok!).

Not really sure which points these are. I check between the red and blue wires both right at module C and at the db1f1 and the rol alternate under board point and got about 1.8V at both points.

I figured out what you were saying.
Between point 1 and db1f1 i get random readings rangeing from 0.00v to 3.00v spending more time at zero but spikeing around.
J2d2.2 to Rf point 1.79V
j2d2.7 to j2d2.4 1.57 ohms

You're not really checking for voltages here, more contiunity. There's a thread on alt smc jtag points which shows you all the locations for J2D2 which can be used to check if you have your points soldered correctly.

This is the only factor now since a) we know it's exploitable and b) you have the correct XeLL version.

If you have any 4148 diodes around I'd be tempted to try those instead of module C...

Nothing really tells me what results I should be getting so I guess I will just touch up all my solder points even though they look good. I dont have any diodes around as i bought this kit because it has the diodes built in and I didnt think I would need extras. I'm sure I cant just go to Radio Shack and get these Diodes either.

I'll a little shocked that for once Rat Shack had what I was looking for. I'm going to go ahead and bypass the module c and solder in the diodes myself. Then I'll try to rewrite the correct xell bin and I'll let you know what happens

You'd be surprised - Radio shack should stock 1N4848 diodes. Remember, we're troubleshooting here so need to eliminate all possibilities.

Check this thread- http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55120

It gives you the alternate points for what you've soldered to. Worst case you should get continuity. You only need to worry about the alt points for J2D2.

Freshly rewired useing 4148 diodes. Is this approved of? I moved to the underside of the mobo to put in these diodes s I forgot to get desoldering braid while I was at Rat shack. So module C is still on the other side of the board soldered in but nothing hooked to it.
