So i was writing my retail nand to my xbox and it wrote fine, but then i go to turn xbox on and it has no power and now i find that the JR programmer was become faulty too!, is goes into and out of bootloader but doesn't show the green light on the other mode, everytime i reset the red flashes which is really odd and no green.

is there warranty on this thing as i only bought it a few days ago!

Have you tried reflashing the firmware to the programmer? Talk to your reseller about a warranty, TX doesn't deal with end users, only distributors.

Sound advice - reflash the fw on the jrp!

Download:

you can use the update jr-p firmware option from tools menu in j-runner.

only time i ever seen the fw wiped/corrupted was a short in nand wires.
Check your solder points again before connecting jr-p to nand again

sorry guys, maybe im not explaining it clearly.

When the JR programmer is in programmer mode there are no lights on & when i press reset the red led just flashes, hence why my computer will not recongize that anything is connected.

It still works fine in going into and out of bootloader.

you explained it perfectly - hence why im saying to reflash the fw on the jr-p - thats what the bootloader mode is for!
OH Thanks soooo much I did not know what bootloader was for, because when i first programmed it, it was in device manager and was detected so there was no need for bootloader.

Anyways thanks again,

to explain it fully
move switch and press reset - to enable bootloader
tool > update JR-P firmware
give it the .hex file i linked previously
whilst its writing move switch back
it should then reset itself once the fw write is verified!
