Hello, this is my first time posting on this forum and I am looking for some help.

I am currently on a windows 8.0 laptop, I have soldered the wires (direct install) and plugged the jsh zh 1.5 7pin connector into my JR programmer. After giving the xbox power (not turning it on) there is a green led flashing rapidly. Once I plug in the usb the light goes solid. My old Windows vista cannot recognise the device either, neither computers can install the drivers. I tried installing the drivers in F7 troubleshoot mode however still no luck.

When I plug in the JR Programmer (with or without the cables attached to NAND points) to PC, the light goes solid green and the windows 8 PC displays a message saying the device has malfunctioned. The device is working and from a friend of mine, the bootloader switch is broken however (but it is far away from the USB). Please could i have some help.
Sure, please upload a pic of the JRP. Have you checked if it's original? Are the drivers installed properly? Try with another USB cable, shorter if you can.

Open "Device Manager" Connect JRP and double click the device, go to "Driver" And upload a screenshot of the window.
What about the USB cable? Have you tried with another one?

Hey I had it same problem but I found the solution
on your windows 8 just install virtual box
and then download windows xp iso
and install windows xp on your virtual box
just go to you tube search how to install window xp on virtual box
