FIXED JR Programmer V2 - Falcon - cannot read NAND

Hi, received cr3 lite & jr programmer.

Took my falcon dash 13604 and installed the jr programmer by soldering wires directly.
connected jrp v2 to pc BUT NOT XBOX and installed drivers from jrunner folder
flashed PICFLASH_E_1_0_5-JRP-V2.HEX firmware to jrp v2 - green led - ok
restarted win 7 netbook and reset button on jrp v2
connected jrp v2 to xbox and connected power to xbox BUT DID NOT SWITCH ON XBOX
fired up j runner - jr programmer logo appears, chose falcon board
read nand - getting Version: 10, Flash Config: 0x00000000 Can not Continue
restarted everything, tried again and same thing
checked wiring continuity between back of board and jrp v2 - all good no shorts
disconnected jrp v2, check console still boots ok - ok
unsoldered - resoldered on back of board
same 'can not continue' error again
reflashed jrp v2, uninstalled on pc, re-installed drivers
tried again
unsoldered and soldered onto different mainboard I had lying around (zephyr)
still same results
resoldered onto original falcon
tested points as per martin c's guide - all match ~1V, 3.3V, 0V ~40 Ohms

Post each value based on the point you test.

2) 3.28V

4) 0V 41.2 Ohms

will i use the v2 one in the j runner/common folder?

and is this the exact procedure;
connect jrp v2 to pc BUT NOT XBOX
switch to BL on jrp -red led
use j runner to flash firmware
during verify switch BL off
unit self-resets and shows green led

Yes, the one in the common folder.

Set BL to on.
reset (so it's red and bootloader comes up in J-Runner).
Set BL to off.
Write the PICFLASH_E_1_0_5-JRP-V2.HEX.

i had already successfully flashed firmware but just done it again successfully but still same error in j runner, incidentally, i tried disconnecting the xbox and get same error. its like the jrp v2 is not seeing the xbox or a problem with j runner and win 7 32-bit

Your soldering looks fine from what I can see and doing the above should give you the correct Flash Config for your board (0x01198010).

Do things in this order:

- Connect the PSU to the console

- Connect the JRP v2 to the console

- Connect the USB cable to the JRP v2

- Press F2 in J-Runner


If the above fails, post your J-Runner log.

Programming looks to have gone fine, but can you confirm that you wrote "PICFLASH_E_1_0_5-JRP-V2.hex" to the JRP?

Yes, that is the only file I have flashed to the JRP

I would get a meter and check your connections from the board to the J-R Pv2.

I'm assuming the console is booting up ok at the moment?

resolder that green wire. looks like its not getting a good connection

i have a desktop on win xp i can try tomorrow evening/sat, ill report back when tested. could the usb ports not be supplying enough of the good stuff to power the JSP correctly (but firmware programming works ok?)
