Hi Guys, iv recently got the executer jtag qsb`s and nand x kit, my consle is a falcon cb 5770

Iv done the jtag qsb and gone to alternate aud point with a diode and wire and spliced into the dvd power wire also with diode, I can read and write the nand succesfully,
However i can only get the original nand 7371 to work? whenever i try update using jtag tool and selecting both alternate and any of the freeboot version i get a a light boot to dash for around 1 second then E79, sometimes i dont even get the slight boot it just E79 and other times i get RROD with error 0020?? I can load xellous and read nand okay though so is my Jtag faulty or is it flash/nand issues , I have checked my soldering and all seems ok!

thanks

I have a bad block at 270 OFFSET 0x00A0E000, whats the best way to sure that ??

have you switched the switch to 440 or 330 on the j-tag qsb?
i forgot to do that once, my first time lol. got the same symptoms, try it on 440 first if it dont boot try it on 330
other than that it will most likely be your soldering not up to scratch.

yes tried that, but no joy :( dont think it can be soldering to be honest its all nice and secure, not crossing each other etc and xellous works fine?? i think its more of a flash/block issue

I'm guessing you already got your CPU key? Besides what mentioned above about trying the switches on both 330 & 440 positionsm which version of Jtag Tool did you use? Try v2.85 and see what that gives you.
