Jtag chips needed with RGH?

Hello, I soldered all four boards that came with the nand-x to my Zephyr mainboard. I am using the coolrrunner to perform rgh. I now wonder if the bottom two boards were even needed or if they will mess anything up.

Please advise, my system fans are running full speed and I am trying to find the cause.

The chips in question are J2D2 and J1F1. Can they be removed without harming the box if they are not needed to preform rgh?

Thanks

OK for standard jtag only 2 of the qsb's in the pack should be soldered to the board. RGH only needs one of them and a seperate qsb sold seperately.

God knows how you got all 4 on but would love to see install pics. Usually you need the qsb for the rgh which is not sold with the nand x but is a seperate purchase and tyhe j1d2 board that you got with your kit. No other boards are needed.

If you have already performed the rgh then I know multibuilder turns the fan speeds up by default so this may be the problem.

See this thread for install pics and descriptions. http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74857

That's what I was thinking.. I was confident enough that was correct I just removed them. Now I will see if it still works after removing them. Sorry I could not provide pics first but the rgh was surely successful. I suppose that is why my fans are so loud now too.

Here's to hoping it turns back on after removing them.

Thanks for the quick answer.
