I bought a jtag Falcon xbox from someone over the internet. Once i booted the xbox the wireless controller disconnects every 5 minutes as i timed it. I have a spare xbox and i replaced the ROL due to other saying it could be damaged and it still disconnected. I don't have a wire to hook up directly but i do have a wired xbox 360 controller when plugged in just flashes all the lights instead and isnt responsive. I tried turning off the rumble feature but doesnt effect the 5 minutes. I even used the controllers on a different xbox and it stays connected. It seems to only effect this JTAGGED xbox. Someone mentioned about changed some of the KV codes and it may work but others say dont even touch them. If someone could please point me the right way or any ideas. Thank you.

btw its a normal controller.

Is this a JTAG or RGH? If it is a JTAG, is it a ROL JTAG or AUD_CLAMP? IF it is an ROL JTAG, you might try switching to AUD_CLAMP, as it is a known issue that ROL jtag causes issues with the ROL, but in an undocumented sort of way, it might also cause issues with controllers on some set ups. This is all speculation, but it is worth a try.

So if all the replies come at once but they don't show to make it. Its a RGH 2.0 mod chip on falcon

So, that rules out that therory. Have you tried recreating the nand image. There could be a corrupt block in the SMC area that is effecting the controller sync, but not stopping the console from booting. Only way to know for sure is to dump the nand, and see what j-runner reports. You can dump the nand from xell, assuming you have an ethernet cable plugged into the back of the console. Then you boot xell, and type the IP address into your browser. From there all you have to do is download the nand.

So I messed up big time, I read the nand, and i found two bad blocks- so i used the jtag tool and found a donor nand and patched over the broken blocks with the donor. Now it wont boot up as if it was a bad nand, and Xell wont boot. Unfortunately i dont know how to write nand to the console any other way. Its running off a matrix glitch chip and it has the prongs as if i can hook it into something. ill try and take a picture but if anyone knows how to write a nand file as i still; have my backup without xell or show my a walkthrough. im sure ill need a new piece of equipment and i hope i dont have to re solder anything

When did I say write anything. I said read the nand. First question where were the bad blocks in the image? Second, if you opened it in j-runner, you could have created a new nand image, then with a jr-programmer, you could have used the fusion/demon write option in j-runner, and it would have forced a remap as it writes. I hadnt gotten there yet, as if the blocks arent in the first 50 blocks, then the chances of it being an smc issue, are slim. You shouldnt need donor files. If you have the nand image you dumped, then you can fix it, but you will need a hardware solution to write the nand.

I was actually following someone else's forum as they were the ONLY one like the same issue on the internet. Let me read it

• Bad Block ID @ 0x31D [Offset: 0xCD7A00]

• Bad Block ID @ 0x31D Found @ 0x3FF[Offset: 0x107BE00]

See I don't know anything about JR-Programmer i think its to write nand but i see the fusion and demon in post too so i need to read upon that i do recall my console mentioned fusion a couple times in Xell.

And yes I still have the orignal nand image before i did anything to it. It just has those two bad blocks i thought it was one but it offset it twice.

That is 1 bad block @ 0x31d, the second message says it is remapped to the end of the nand. since it isnt in the first 50 blocks, it probably isnt what was causing the issue. as for the issue you are having now, try unplugging the console for 30 seconds, the try booting xell. if you get xell rewrite the image you dumped, and unplug the console again. then try booting it normally.

Ive waited hours. I will try once more but Xell may be out of the question which is why im thinking its gonna be a soldering job. But let me try the Xell because I would def know how to fix it if i can get that to boot

**UPDATE**

I got my JR Programmer in today and I was able to flash back to my hacked NAND.
But... Controller still disconnecting, found out some strange things.

First I bought 2 new controllers to make sure it wasnt just a broke controller but i ran the "broke" controller on another xbox and it stayed connected the entire time.
Hook it up to my RGH1.2 xbox and it will disconnect every 5 minutes.

So i hooked up three controllers at different times, thinking it was going to disconnect all at the same time...Nope each one lasted 5 minutes before they shut off.
Now question is, is this xbox fixable or has NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE EARTH HEARD ABOUT THIS.
