Jtag help

IM pretty good with computesr and taking stuff apart and putting them back together. Yet this jtag thing seems complicated i have no idea what so ever what to do. I found some youtube videos but they seem complicated and i have no idea what they r doing any good tutorial videos or articles ? please help
