Hey guys

Iv tried my first jagging, and didn't go so well. When taking the J2D2 QSB off i accidentally took
the R2E2 next to it off. How will this affect the xbox, if it does in anyway.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Can't really understand what you're trying to say. R2E2?

On the motherboard of a xenon, you j-tag the bit called j2d2. then just beside it is a tiny resistor called r2e2. then beside them are r2e3,r2e4.Il try to get a picup.

Did you try to test the console after this has happened?

Yeah i connected everything up and went straight to dashboard. havent tested a game because my xbox is in bits at the mo :p. iv hooked all the jtag up, dumped the nand's 100% no bad blocks. Only problem im getting is after i turn my xbox off for the 30secs to wipe the memory and then turn it back on im getting e79 error. could it be that tiny missing resistor ?

what motherboard is it, this is common on the zephyr range, without the revised solder point.

edit
looking at the pic i can see it's a xenon, ignore what i said above.

Just been looking around at other peoples jtag on the xenon board. Should i be using resistors insted of switch diodes?

alot of people said touse switching diodes,so i went with them. but no go :(. I'm gonna give the 330 resistors a go and see if my board takes to them. If no, then il get the diodes as you.

Right guys, i tried the 330 resistors and what a load of **** they were couldn't even read the nand.So reinstalled the diodes carefully and tried again but still getting e79. I then reinstalled the orig.bin and got to the dashboard all fine and working. so tech dont that mean that my jtag actually works because i can write on to the nand ?????

I my self use the switching diodes flashing 360 mentioned, never failed me once.

Your E79 could be due to 3 possibilities:

1. Soldering
2. Bad blocks
3. One of those odd xenon boards that give E79 no matter what and you might need a different point (read this thread http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55007)

The diodes are just fine and looking at that picture you need to cut down on some of the wiring and chop off the the extra on the diodes that way to long.
