Fill out the template. And exactly what did you reflow? And what was the problem before the reflow

I used a heat gun?
This is a reflow.

There isn't any way of controlling the heat when you use a heatgun. The excess heat can cause damage to the surrounding components. There's also no bottom heat which is crucial for a proper reflow.

There are many instruments involved in a reflow/Reball. I'd suggest you find someone to fix it for you. It won't cost as much as you think it would.

Most heat gun reflows are completely dead. Not worh the attempted repair. Time for a new board is a better move IMO.

I also see a video of some dude putting his Xbox just... On the stove.!

Gas stove. Let it cook. Crazy people about.

What makes me laugh is people going out and buying a heatgun or whatever other crap they need from youtube videos, f**k it up more. Then think a tx repair kit is just gonna fix it, or a slight reflow here or there.

Yup a lot of bad info out there. If definitely pays to take the time to educate yourself on something before bulling ahead on a you tube clip. No patience gets expensive.

I'm sure that a lot of people don't realize they can find someone fairly easy to fix their console for fairly cheap at the same time so they go out and buy DYI stuff in a last ditch effort.

True enough. There is just as many links saying not to use a heat gun, torch, oven etc. Some common sense must prevail this is electronic equipt. Not bashing the OP if you think I was I apologize to both of you. Just a life lesson learned the hard way is all.

Oh believe me, I understood and appreciated what you said. It's just that I have first hand experience working with and training people on technical and computer related equipment when I know that don't have the ability to comprehend what in telling them. Some people just don't have the common sense nor are they able to learn. It's like me trying to be a race car driver and then wonder why I crashed the car. I know my limits in what I can do and what I can't. I will never have the common sense to be a race car driver and others will never have electronic common sense.
