Was wondering if it could be done on a 2014-07-14. I've seen different sources say different things. It's an e series with the removable hard drive.

U might get lucky with that one. Around that date the Winchester motherboard came into it. Which can't be modded.
Only way to find out is to open it up and remove the heatsink.
