Of course you can - it's a network connection and works exactly the same. I do this with my slim RGH.

Did you try changing your subnet to 192.168.1.0?

Also, you said you tried both methods? If you manually changed the addresses as I suggested, you should have been able to FTP to the console's IP from the computer. If you couldn't, it's a cable issue.

Thanks so much,martin sorry i have should have said that ive already got a 360 wireless adapter here.I just thought it might have been a lot simpler and easier to do it over ethernet connection through my wireless PC lol

SOLVED !!!!!!
Have managed to get it all working over WIFI and even FTP over WIFI

I'd also suggest using samba in fsd. Better than ftp in my opinion

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
