Jungle Flasher not picking up drive

I have just tried to flash my xbox phat unsuccessfully with the dg-16d2s drive.
I am running windows 7 in test mode using the driver signature over rider.
I had the drive powered by my xbox with a toggle switch soldered in between the wire and a sata connector going directly to my motherboard.
After some fiddling I got the portio64.sys drivers installed and running with jungle flasher but still no luck with the drive showing up.

Not sure how to progress from here? any help would be greatly appreciated.

What sata chipset are you using?
X360usbpro would save this problem.

I think i have an intel z68 express chipset according to my mobo box.
I am trying to do this on a bit of a budget hopefully

Why not pay someone to do it? Someone close to you may be able to. Ive only ever used via cards and occasional nforce chipsets back in the day so maybe look around for compatibility.

Can get your drive flashed for tenner or so. Thats cheaper if your on a budget

I have the know how and i wouldn't mind giving it a go, its just the computer giving me hassles.

I have looked around at prices in Australia and on average it seems to be 50-60 dollars for a post in service of just the dvd drive which is basically the equivalent of buying the sata cards etc.

bad idea using console to power the drive too btw!!

buy a via 6421 pci card or a 360usb pro both will work a treat!

buy a via 6421 pci card and you will also need a tx probe 3 for that drive

So you don't have all the know how
