Hi Guys,

Just got my jtagged xbox. So freestyle dash is installed on it with Xellous. the guy i bought the console off gave me a quick run through.

What is the most important thing i need from the console incase i mess things up? im guessing the cpu key.

What should i avoid doing? What will brick the console? I know never update is the key or go onlive.

I was messing with freestyle dash last night, turned off the console and turned it back on, now it wont boot into freestyle dash, should i reinstall it?

Where do you place the arcade games? i know its somewhere in content\0000000..

What tools should i use to unlock an arcade game?

Also how do i prep a 320 gb hard drive i have for use with the xbox (internally), i know it needs to be formatted to fatx

BTW i love how open the xbox is now that its been jtagged. So much freedom its great.

Most important, backup your nand and get your cpu key.

You can update the console. Just update it only with freeboot updates.

You probably corrupted your FSD or your launch.ini

You can unlock them with XM360 or Yaris Swap.

Pretty sure you can format it in fat32 and the xbox will see it.

Hey Smkface,

thanks for the response. ok so i should use flash360 to get my nand image. Ya ive done some reading, and ill just reinstall FSD. How do i know if im using freeboot? it looks like the standard dash. Sweet so i wont need to do much so, ill just copy all the files i had on the old 20gb one onto my external then swap the hard drives. I thought you needed to setup the partitions if your using it internally.

Yes use Flash360. Well, Im pretty sure you are running freeboot because anything 9199 and up is only Freeboot for jtags. Plus, Freeboot looks the a regular dashboard but it has been hacked and modified for JTAG use. I'm pretty sure you can just format it to Fat32 and get the xbox to see it and format it from there. Or you can just go the computer route and use a program on the computer to transfer and format it for you.

The format to Fat32 worked perfectly. Will i need to update freeboot for more features as they release it regularly? Ive heard of this Exploite360 which is a new tool for creating the .bin files does this include the newest "firmware" (for want of a better word) for freeboot? Is only two rebooters, im guessing freeboot is the most popular.
