Ok, I just got my X3 installed. Now I'm at the blue FlashBios screen.

I would like to install EvoX. What is the easiest way to do this and where can I get the actual program from to do this?

You now have to flash with the X3 bios depending on your xbox version:

If your xbox is version 1.0-1.5 - use the X3_1959 bios

If your xbox is version 1.6-1.6b - use the X3_1959_v16 bios

The easiet way to install evox would probably be to use an autoinstaller like slayers 2.6

Where do I get those versions of the X3 bios from? All the downloads section offers is FlashBios files.

Okay, I got that, burned to a DVD with a 100+mb file (an .avi). I followed instructions but now it's just sitting at the "flashing xecuter" screen and there is no progress bar.

The reset button is flashing between green and amber.

What is going on? My FlashBios is 3.0.0. Do I need to update it?

Why don't you flash via http?

What version is your xbox?

1.6, not sure if A or B. Manufactured 10/27/04.

It froze up while trying to read a DVD (I didn't use a dummy file correctly I guess), so I shut it off. Now I get no video when I boot up my Xbox. What the hell did I do? It's fragging, but it booted up fine 2 seconds ago, so I don't think soldering is the issue.

Try booting to the backup bios by pressing the eject and power button together

Ok, I unplugged and replugged it in and I booted to FlashBIOS just fine. Going to burn another DVD-R and try again, this time using a dummy.bin file.

Still not getting a progress bar, but it is flashing green and amber...so is it working or what? If this doesn't work, I'll move it up to the router upstairs and use HTTP.

well done !
I've looked through all the documentation that I can find, and nowhere does it suggest anything to solve this particular problem. The FlashBIOS tutorial even brags that it has images of all possible problems. Well, it does not. My problem isn't listed.

How is ridiculing your customers any measure of good customer service? Let me know what you come up with.

If you'll re-read the post, my problem has nothing to do with installing EvoX or anything like that.

It has to do with the fact that when I try and flash the bios with any bios of my choice, the eject light immediately flashes amber and green and the screen says "FLASHING XECUTER", but I never get any sort of progress bar.

Am I missing something, is there someway that EvoX would fix this?

it says FLASHING XECUTER

try switching to another bios bank.

make sure you read the guides www.teamxecuter.com/flashbios/

try flashing with other methods

make sure you are using x3 bios 1959

this has NOTHING to do with evox or anything else

I need to be on a bank that is at least 1MB, correct? So my only other option seems to be the 2MB bank. Is that dangerous in any way?
