GENERAL Just need a quick answer on something simple

Hey guys, I keep seeing everywhere that LT+3 was released late December and have been looking for it (along with a changelog and 'upgrade' steps) but can't seem to find any straight answers.

I recently (file dates show 31/10/11) downloaded the then latest LT+ firmware and updated both mine and a friend's drives. Thing is I just downloaded what seems to be LT+3.... and everything looks the same as what I downloaded previously ??

Both newly download package and previously downloaded package contain (for example)
0800_BenQ and phat Lite-on v3/iXtreme_0800-v3.nfo
0800_BenQ and phat Lite-on v3/LT-Benq-0800-v3.bin
0800_BenQ and phat Lite-on v3/LT-liteon-0800-v3.bin

I seem to be a bit lost, was LT+3 released late December? Was anything major changed? If so do I need to upgrade and if so must I flash to original first??

And btw yes I have already purchased the iHAS and have backed up a number of games already (recent games) and played them successfully

lt3.0 was realesed for phats liteon and benq december 24th.

the fw you are showing in your post is the 0800fw which is used to backup your original games not play them

the 0800 v3.0 firmware is for ripping your originals

Yeah sorry I should've mentioned other files in the package - it's late lol. :rolleyes2:

I noticed that LTPlus-748v1.1.bin is the same in both downloads (and have now just noticed the extra LTPlus3.0.nfo files in that new directory [must have skimmed straight past them and went to firmware files].

So...has anything changed in LT3 for my Liteon 16D2S v748 or is LT3 really only for the newer drives?

(btw mine is Liteon 16D2S v748 and my friend's is Benq) One thing I did notice was that my previous download contained LTPlus-benq-v1.1.bin and LTPlus-benq-v2.0.bin however the latest download only has LTPlus-benq-v1.1.bin ??
