Ok, I just received my chip in the mail, and I am ready to install it into my xbox, but before doing that i have a question. Is there any way to back up the saved games that I already have saved? I would hate to have to start every game from the beginning again....

thanks

Once your chip is fitted, flashed with the new X3 1959 BIOS and you have FTP access to your Xbox, you can FTP the C and E drive contents to your PC, backing up the information.

You shouldn't need to do anything to the HDD anyways, so don't worry.

I think you'd have to use something like action replay on an unmodded xbox... If you haven't got on heres a tutorial for how to make an action replay mem card from a USB Mem Stick

Yes it's possible, but not as quick or convenient as copying the files over via a network cable.

You'd have to fit the chip to unlock it in the 1st place, so you may as well leave it locked, flash the BIOS etc and copy via network.

The IP address is on the dashboard, left bottom corner, if you have DHCP and LAN cable connected, otherwise it'll say No Link. So make sure your FTP is callling the same IP address and port 21 and all that.

You don't need to update, LT v1.0 is still safe on XBL and can read all wave games. The dirty disk error isn't caused by wave 5 games. If you create your own backups using an 0800 Xbox 360 drive (games will be created with SSv2) then you will be fine playing any game on XBL.

Kool so LT1.1 for lite-on is just for dirty disk error and if i got SSv2 then i don't get dirty disk errors but still no way of abgx of telling you if your video for wave 5 and up are good lol abgx needs an update

No, if you have a game that has been ripped using SSv2 that doesn't mean it will get rid of the dirty disk error - I just said it would be okay to play on XBL if you ripped the game yourself and used SSv2. And yeah, abgx360 needs to be updated lol

Lol ya i rip my games with wxripper i don't know if its safe but if abgx tells me its ok i look for SSv2 and all that stuff and if it comes up good then i burn it and play. Still not going to play wave 5 and up till abgx updates. Do you play wave 5 and up?

As long as SSV2 and SPLITVID is in the ISO you can play wave 5 and up games whether ABGX is updated or not.

There is a MOD for ABGX which gives you the wave 5/6 support which im using and everything is good.

Hope this helps :)
