Wave 4 to wave 3 patching guide
Sorry before the links were broke I have fixed them now.
I take no credit for this guide I got it from the internet and posted it here for those who want to use it as a learning tool.
WARNING
This will get you banned, only do this if you are already banned or you don't care about xbox live
Patching Guide For WAVE4 Game to WAVE3

Most consoles flashed with ixtreme 1.51 cant play wave 4 games and 1.6 cant play wave 4 games without the activate.iso, if you're on 1.51 (non hitachi) and don't want to upgrade and don't play on live or you've been banned just follow these steps .
What we need ?
ABGX30 Gui v1.0.1
PFI included in the pack
Video.iso included in the pack
Get the pack here

here we go...
1- Select the ISO thats Wave 4
2- On autofix select :
Level 3
Adjust angle 359 for ixtreme 1.4
Fix C/R table if data invalid
Adjust angles that deviate more than 3 degrees from their ccrt
3-In Misc select youre region and on splitdvd "add it if it doesnt exist or isnt valid"
4-Save this settings as default, just to keep this wave 4 settings , now lets start patching
5-This step has to be done everytime we select a wave 4 ISO:
_Patch even if steath passes
_Patch even if these files are invalid
_Patch video and select the video.iso
_Patch PFI and select the PFI.bin
6-Now press Launch, here it will start patching the game, when it's finished check it again with abgx without any patching
7- Now we have an ISO thats 100 % WAVE3 that works on firmware's 1.51 and 1.6 without the need of a new firmware.
WARNING
This will get you banned, only do this if you are already banned or you don't care about xbox live

I almost forgot This has worked for me on all wave 4 games but one thing you HAVE to update the dashboard or it wont work all you will get is a repeated you must update this game message from your xbox if you dont update the dashboard first.

Could you play one of these games offline, unplugged from the internet. And go back on once you're done? MS wouldn't have any way to tell if a game you've never played online or connected had bad CRCs can they?

you shouldnt have bad crc's if you have a proper backup. my crc's checked out just fine on abgx360 before and after patching.

so whats the better method?
i just got tekken 6 and i wanna play it offline.
so if i used this method unplugged ethernet cord and disconnected my HDD would that be ok?
dont wanna get banned, although i may be flagged cuz i used to always play early

I assumed some of the stuff wouldn't match up if you were changing the games waves. Which is why I asked if you'd be able to play offline and then go back on once you're done.harlaquin said:

ok think am gonna try this, But i question ... harlaquin said that u have to update . what does he mean by that. I am on the latest dashboard update except the one that is preview.
Shld i go for this. Also i can save my progress when i use this rite ?

sorry nevermind i figured it out
i just put the ISO IMG file into the Image folder of abgx360 folder and that fixed it.

OK !. tekken 6 goes on sale tonight at midnight and stores break street date all the time.Project2806 just why would you be so rude with your comments. To Himanshunegi1987 if you read all the comment you will plainly see that everyone says NOT to use your harddrive when useing this method so no you wont be able to save progress if you insist on useing your hard drive to save progress when using an altered Backup image then you risk being banned. It has been made very clear this is for people with consoles that are already banned or not on the internet or for people who want to use it as a learning tool to mess with untill the new firmware comes out and they cam make a proper wave 4 backup. hello everyone. I have just tried this method with the new grand theft auto stories from liberty city. Its obviously wave 4. I m trying to convert it to wave 3. I get through the whole process until the splitvid part it says "cannot check splitvid due to invalid or uncertain PFI/Video then prompts me to exit by pressing any button. I ve used the pfi.bin and video.iso provided in the pack and followed the instructions completely. can anyone tell me what i m doing wrong or must do to get a successful patch done. thank you for your time everyone.

So basically any save games will be checked when you go on xbox live, leading to a ban?
Forza 3 is supposed to be wave 4 but my iso when checked through abgx reads normally as wave 3. Could it be pre-"fixed" using this method?
