Hi, thanks for this helpful topic. I'm having a problem getting the latest dashboard. I have followed all the instructions on Xbox.com but the update fails everytime.

I have copied to USB and CD and it prompts for the update but then fails with the message:

"Can't process the update."

I've tried updating off the Modern Warfare 2 disc aswell (retail) and it fails saying the disc is unreadable.

Is there anything else I can do?

those two files dont even show up as verifying on my abgx anymore..it just continues the process like its a wave 4 game and it cannot be found

My ABGX is now doing the same thing. I have patched several games now from wave 4 to wave 3 and now my ABGX doesn't even try to patch in the special PFI and Video files. It just runs through ABGX like normal and stays wave 4. Not sure what is going on.

Guys, some info to use at your own risk,...

I have an Xbox Elite, With Liteon drive, Ixtreme 1.51. I just patched my 1st Wave4 to Wave3, its Lips Number One Hits. I played it using a different profile to the one i usually use for my other games. It was connected to my modem but the new profile I created is not a MS Live profile. After playing for a few minutes, I took out the game, inserted another and switched profiles back to my usual to check if Live is still working. It is!?! Im not a Live GOLD member, just SILVER. Can still download demos n stuff!!

Thought I would share with all.

PS.... The guide at the top was v-easy to follow, but could not download the video.iso n the other thing off the link provided but found all I needed on Piratebay,... was called

Tekken_6_wave_4_to_wave_3_rsrs_100__perfect_By_Ferraresi.

Its not the full game patched, just the files needed to do the patching using the tut on here.

A little off-topic,

For starters .. Can't get my backup up game to play.. using activation disc..

So my question..
If i wanted to just play a backed-up Wave 4 game with the activation disc with Lite-on 1.6 .. Is there any specific way you need to patch the wave 4 game .iso in Abgx? i had it set to Level 3 autofix.. thats it ..

WOW! I just don't know what my problem is here. I've patched several games down to wave 3 and now it's just stopped working. ABGX doesn't even try to patch with the custom files. It just runs it like a normal wave 4 ISO and won't patch. I haven't touched anything. It just started doing it on it's own. I don't get it!

My main question is, does one REALLY have to patch the wave4 iso with ABGX? ..

Unless theres something wrong with my XBC 2.9 or imgBurn?.. ABGX verifies that the backup is GOOD.. Yet can't get the game to boot with the activation disc (using imgburn 1 layer, verbatim DL)..

Anyone know what the go is?

I was going to try to re-rip the wave 4 game with XBC 2.9 (i have kreon drive) and then just burn it with XBC using ImgBurn engine.. Will that work? (i dont care about getting banned etc..)

no you dont have to use abxg and from what i have been seeing abxg stops working for some people tring to patch thier games.

you can use the image tools in xbox backup creator to also patch games. what you do is first get a verified wave 4 image check it with abxg360 , then get a verified wave 3 image also check it with abxg.

once you hav both of these go to image tools in xbc and remove both the pfi and video from both the wave 3 and the wave 4 image but save the pfi and video from the wave 3.

once you have removed the pfi and video from the wave 4 then inject the pfi first into the wave 4 and then the video both from the wave 3 game.

once done just like in the other tutorial DO NOT TRY TO VERIFY the patched game because it will fail,.. it will fail because you have patched the game. (for some reason people just dont get it and try to verify the patched game and wonder why it fails).

also just like the other tutorial you must have the fall 09 dashboard on your xbox or it will just go into a update loop. if enough people want a more detailed tutorial i can write one on how to use xbc to patch wave 4 and 5 games to wave 3 but this is the basics.

AGAIN do not verify after patching and this method is for people who are already banned do not use this if you are not banned or you soon will be.

once patched to wave 3 you wont need the active iso and you will not have to update firmware (whats the point of updating firmware on a banned xbox ) so you save even more money and time.

Nice tut. to update the dashboard.

When I use the CD it tells me only : mixed media disc.
When booting from the USB drive : nothing happens

Can you help me out?

(The box is banned and the HDD in crippled)

You may also need the latest dashboard update you can find this here

here we go...

1- Select the ISO thats Wave 4
2- On autofix select :

Level 3
Adjust angle 359 for ixtreme 1.4
Fix C/R table if data invalid
Adjust angles that deviate more than 3 degrees from their ccrt

3-In Misc select youre region and on splitdvd "add it if it doesnt exist or isnt valid"

4-Save this settings as default, just to keep this wave 4 settings , now lets start patching

5-This step has to be done everytime we select a wave 4 ISO:

_Patch even if steath passes
_Patch even if these files are invalid
_Patch video and select the video.iso
_Patch PFI and select the PFI.bin

6-Now press Launch, here it will start patching the game, when it's finished check it again with abgx without any patching

7- Now we have an ISO thats 100 % WAVE3 that works on firmware's 1.51 and 1.6 without the need of a new firmware.

WARNING
This will get you banned, only do this if you are already banned or you don't care about xbox live

I have a few question regarding this update.

I tried the CD, the DVD and the USB key methode. all of them didn't work. however, i still unable to view divx (this is the main reason why I want this update. it's supose to add this feature but my box is banned)

how can I determine if the update is already in?

i understand the wave patching stuff i have but i have a question

1st of all i bought a used modded banned 360 since im not into online games
i dont know what mod type i have but i am able to play backups i think wave 3 ( or what ever BAYONETTA is as that is my newest backup)

my question is

if i use the USB or DVD dash firmware update will it ruin my mod???? i already have a number of working backups but other backups i have ( darksiders, tekken 6) do not work

i tried the activation iso but that didnt work either

also is there any way i can find out what my 360 firmware was flashed with???

Hello i have patched tekken 6, and abgx shows me everifing like in screen shots but when i burn it to dvd and put it to xbox it shows me bi xbox logo, what i'm doing wrong. thanks.
