right iv got a pcb i done the kamakazi hack with everything was fine. wrote firmware relocked the spi and boom away i was playing away. then this morning whilst watching tele my disk tray shot open but only half way. and everytime i go to turn my commy on now it turns itself of after about 3 seconds and the disk tray is playing hell. Help muchily appreciated thanks guys

Its not uncommon for a kamikazi that seemed to go well fail at a later date.
The best option would be to get a replacement pcb assuming you have saved your
dump on the original flash.
However I have heard of some ppl having success putting a small amount of conductive
paste into the drill hole and allowing it to cure completely,
However the downside would be the drive would need to be unlocked 0x00 before the repair, and left unlocked for future upgrades.

ok turny cheers i have some conductive glue too. problem is if i leave spi unlocked i can go on xbl. its really baffled me lol. cause like i said its been great till now. quick question if i put in the glue will it not short it out as theres a second trace practically right under the one i drilled lol.
Well i jus put a drop of glue in if this as no affect tx pcb lol. thanks for all help guys. will post l8r to say if its worked or not
