LITEON 0225 Kamikaze Help Drive Dead

hi all i think i killed me drive done kami now my drive wont eject on ck3 and xbox can read and write fw just not eject when i first turn it on the drive kicks out half way can manual ejust and closes fine:facepalm:

there is a post on this site that shows you can fix this sort of problem by soldering a wire to the pout and using a resistor

does your drive spin ? If so do the Pout fix, if not you need a new pcb

If your drive is not working my advice would be to try it after all your drive is dead at the moment so nothing to lose or you could purchase a TX replacement board if you managed to retrieve your key before killing it

yea got my key and yea my drive spins hmm so now need to find a resistor what would you say is the best one to use and thanks

i think the range is 51 - 62 ohm resistor but have heard that a 68 ohm resistor was a perfect match for drive eject speed i personally for that reason would try anything between 62 - 68 ohm resistor

I must admit - i heard of a couple of people using the 53 and the eject is ridiculously fast lol

maplin have a good range of resistors if your close to them

1kiloohm = 1000ohms - that's what the k mean mate

quick reference i solder normal wire from power bit to pout and the resistor on the black wire
