hi again everyone done the fix tray now closes but i think somethings wrong getting open all the time but does try reading the disc you can hear it spin up and stuff but open tray even with originals with no disc it goes straight to open tray could that be the fw or a dead laser

Hi guys,

Same problem as above. After "pout fix" it responds to eject commands BUT keeps opening insistently. When drive is powered on it makes all the noises and drive stuff but ejects again. Any idea please!!!! The SPI is unlocked because i can flash it normally.

ah, my drive is a 225 with winbond chip.

Hi Guys,

Just to enlighten you about my problem. The issue was solved and it WORKS like a charm now.

What was causing the tray to open insistently was a very tiny piece of solder that was "connecting" two small components near the "pout" area. So i noticed that and after removal, guess? It closes and opens as expected with the "pout fix".

Resume:

Liteon 225 Winbond with kamizake method unlocked and flashed + "pout fix" solved eject problem = backup copies running smoothly.
