I have read my nand 10 times now and i keep getting the same thing. I get a couple bad blocks but that is normal, but there is always one unmatching block on my nand. it is a xenon board.

hit the reconstruct button and check the reconsructed nand image against the others you have. Are you doing a power cycle aswell between nand reads as that would cause your issue.

tried a different outlet. still 3D7 does not match. and when i press reconstruct it says 1 blocks could not be matching in 2 or more nand images. when i compare the reconstructed nand it still says the same thing

what version of jtag tool are you using? Ive had this once or twice where I would get a error 250, I would switch everything off and disconnect the xbox, hit the reset on the nand-x and start again. Sometimes adding a earth between the xbox and pc chassis has helped with errors for me. As long as you get three matching dumps then you can remap the bad blocks.

yeah. i guess ill try to reset it and everything. ill also try to put the xbox on the ground because as of now i have it grounded to the pc chassis. ive had bad blocks before, but they have always matched up without errors.

Also ive had this caused by a poor solder connection on the ground wire on my nand-x.

I will go over my solders again, but the only thing is if there was a bad solder, it wouldnt be consistently the same bad block, it would vary i believe.

Is it just that one block that your getting a error on? as the nandpro window youve posted is showing 4 reading errors.

I personally wouldnt want to flash to my nand without three matching nand dumps. The mismatching block 3D7 you keep getting is probably a bad block, you can remap it at your own risk as xell should boot fine as the error is not in the first 50 blocks.

I think i am just going to reconstruct. then write xell and get my cpu key and kv. I have another working freeboot image made for a xenon, so if i cannot write freeboot, i can write my image to the other board, and just replace kvs.

Not a wise thing to do, but it's your risk if you want to take it.

well manwithoutname do you have any better ideas? I have gone over my soldering many times. power cycled, tried direct wire install, tried different outlet, different computer. Running out of ideas.

So are you going to give me a suggestion, or just butt in on my thread and say unimportant statements that i already knew?

Well certainly with this kind of attitude I'm not going to try and help you. Feel free to do what you want and sorry if I tried to warn you. I'll no longer post on your threads ...

Mate seriously you should be saying sorry to MWN for being a tit and making that sort of comment. He knows his stuff and will digg you out of the sh*t many a times, plus its quite rude!!!
