First it sounds like your flashing flashbios back to your x3...u need to get a hacked bios ...current ver is 3029
read up about xbins.

error 16 is because u have not xfered your original msdash and associated files to the new hdd.
put back your stock hdd and get the x3 up and running first with a bios that has Config live.

from there u can set it up to ftp all the files off the stock drive (c: & e:) and then install the new hdd ..go back to CFL and ftp the files back.
Lock the HDD if u wish to use msdash & XBL

Hey guys, I need a little help. I have installed a Xecuter 2.6 chip on my 1.6 v xbox. I have read everything about flashing and followed the tutorials... I put FlashBios 3.01 on banks 1 and 2 of the manager, and EvoX on banks 3 and 4. I then flashed it, and everything seemed to work fine, until I turned it back on.

Now, if I power on from bank 1 it goes back to the flashbios menu, and from bank 2 it goes to an error 16 service required... and frag

Do you know what I did wrong?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Hey, your in an X3 forum at the moment so i haven't used the X2 bios manager. My guess is that you're bank settings are wrong. For a start I'd get the latest X2 Bios from Xbins and then flash it to your chip. Make sure that you select a bank that is the same size as your bios. e.g. X3 bios in 1MB so i select a 1Mb bank on my switch.

hope this is helpful to you, and you might get more help in the X2 forums.

Cheers
