You don't have to but it is recommended, specially if you want your jtag to have HDMI support.

To my knowledge, it is just anything below 2.0.7371.0, not exactly 2.0.7371.0.

But then again, I only helped install NAND-X for my friend, I didn't do the JTAGing, so I do not know a lot :s

I reading the nand with the console powered up, and connected to the pc.
that could fry your pc and or xbox. Keep console with the power cable contected. Do not power on. connect usb cable, run nandpro and you will be good.

Come on...tell me, where did you read that you have to dump the NAND while the Xbox360 is powered on?

Was thinking thate the chip had to be active (voltage to it), but it get its voltage from the usb.. my fault
It happens...But do more research before you attempt such a thing next time. Because, suppose if you had used the LPT method instead of using Nand-X, who knows what could have happened.....

Uhhhh maybe printing out the Nand :d just kidding dho..

i'm reading and reading.. Have seen, i think over 100 tutorials.. all a little difrent. I hope to get to the point on the end. For now.. i did do a recheck on my solding (pinheaders) got unmached Nand readings.. resolded it.. (more flux, becouse i think the solder have to go to the otherside of the board for a good conection (i solder on the backside of the board). See how this readout is going, if not good gonna unsolder the pinheaders, and cut the wires to solder them direct.
