I read a thread the other day where someone was asking about the location of the database for all the key info that J-Runner stores. As you may or may not know, J-Runner writes these entries to the Windows registry. After reading the question posed about J-Runner and Excel, it gave me an idea. Why not create an app that will allow someone to dump all that wonderful and useful information from the registry? Well, that's what I did. I first started down the road of creating a csv file that could be opened in Microsoft Excel but I didn't like the way Excel auto formatted the serial number. Besides that, not everyone has Excel and opening a csv file in a plain text editor isn't very friendly to read. In the end I decided to just create a simple text file with the dump info plus I added the ability to backup and restore the database via a reg file.
I'm going to list this as a beta version because there might be some issues that popup but I'm confident that it a solid app and ready for release. I may revisit the idea of an Excel file but if I do, it will be an xls file with built in formatting and not a csv file.
