ANSWERED Kinect RGH Update

Hi,

Recently purchased my new slim with RGH and it has a dashboard of 2.013604.0. I then proceeded to put FSD and dashlaunch to auto launch into FSD.

I then purchased the kids a kinect sensor but it requires a system update, 2 questions.... i beleive i have to relabel the update to $$ystemupdate and put on a usb flash drive, but 1. not sure on which update to use, or 2 if dashlaunch would affect it...

answers would be greatly appreciated.

Use the same update as your console 13604

Hi, my personal experience with this was the only way I could get the update to install from the flash drive same as you stated was to disable the feature in dashlaunch wich ignores system updates even after I renamed the update to $$sytem etc it still wouldn't install for some reason but worked fine once I changed the settings in dashlaunch. All avatar and kinect now working properly.

so d/l 13604 from M$ and update? would dashlaunch affect it?

Make sure you get 13604

Go to the search section and type "Update Spy" a program for downloading the dash updates

sorry, googled it and now got it..... the only last question i have is when running dashlaunch should the setting in the ini be noupdater = false or noupdater = true as even with my usb flash drive having the file in the root it's not picking up

Have you changed the name of the update to $$ystemupdate?
Power off console restart with USB in port

I had the same problem. the only way i got it to work was to go to the nxe and unplug the usb and plug it back in and it found it and installed it.

thanks to a'n'other, tried renaming it to the normal system update and it worked flawlessly
