Here's my second burn of a RITEK-D01-01 disk

Forza 4 Disc 2
Speed 2.4x
Imgburn verify 100%

Code:
Date : 23-10-2011 15:20:28
Model : 6-3-0-0 L:ATAPI iHAS624 B GL29
Disc : DVD+R DL , RITEKD01 [RiTEK Corporation]
Speed : 4x
ECC blocks sum (PI/PIF) : 8/1
Scanned range : 0 - 4267023
Sampling count : 250768
Errors : 0
PI Max : 371
PI Average : 26,61
PI Total : 834329
PIF Max : 7
PIF Average : 0,12
PIF Total : 3617
The single peak around the layer break is unfortunate, but the disc was installed to hard disk without problems (mind you Forza disc 2 only contains about 2.8 GB of data according to the game itself).

Wow that looks almost EXACTLY like my Forza 4 Disc 2 burn. I wonder why, if these things should be "random"...

I have done two XGD3 burns with the Ixtreme Max Burner using 4x setttings on IMGBURN and have gotten them both under 4 PIF, both to verify, and both to install.

All this using cheap Memorex 8x discs. I think this is worth noticing.

The first burn I had OPC turned off and on accident and it didn't work. The next two (Arkham City and Gears 3) worked fine and passed all tests. I ran them each a few times to make sure and I never got over 4 on PIF and never over 80 on PI.

Can anyone suggest anything to lower the PI on my burns? I'm 0/4 here.
I'm having similar results on the 001s.
Seems like the 003 have consistently better results.

I followed some suggestions and deleted my SPTD driver which imgburn stated may be detrimental to drive performance. Still getting so-so results:

Didn't save log from Dark Souls but it was the same result.

I'm not sure what the problem could be aside from possibly bad verbatims? Maybe someone else can point me in the right direction but my next step is getting some 003s to try.

Both discs verified fine (in imgburn) and play as well.

You must note media codes when talking about disc brands

I'm confused

First Burn:
MKM003 @4x, OPC enabled,
stuck during loading screen on my Console

Code:
Date : 20.10.2011 18:39:29
Model : 2-0-0-0 H:ATAPI iHAS124 B AL0R
Disc : DVD+R DL , MKM003 [Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation]
Speed : Max
ECC blocks sum (PI/PIF) : 8/1
Scanned range : 0 - 3827480
Sampling count : 219874
Errors : 0
PI Max : 158
PI Average : 3,35
PI Total : 93307
PIF Max : 4
PIF Average : 0,19
PIF Total : 5261

Second Burn:
MKM003 @2,4x OPC disabled,
working fine so far

Link To Image

Isn't my second burn a lot worse than the first?
But second works and first burn doesn't??

I'm totally confused
Retest and set the read speed at 4x instead on max.

Here's 3 burns.

Batman @ 4x OPC on.
Dark Souls @ 2.4x OPC off
GOW3 @ 2.4x OPC off

All Verbatims, MKM003

Could be a coincidence, but the burn @ 4x with OPC on seems to be much better than those @ 2.4x with OPC off
