I agree but it's better than put them in the trashcan.

XGD2 is dead and this discs are for my Xbox backups only, so... At this time my Xbox wants to read them, I am glad with this.

It might seem so at first. But, if you're going on xbox live, Micr$oft can, if they haven't already, do a check for quality response. If your disc fails that check, that's a possible ban flag.

Pressed, retail discs have very low PI/PIF rate if any.

I'm not saying it'll happen or you'll get banned today or tomorrow, but there is a large chance since they CAN do it, so your only question should be, "When will they?".

It won't get much better than this :)

MKM003, burned at 4x with OPC enabled. All the rest is default settings in IMGBURN.

External power, USB-to-SATA converter used to connect Liteon iHAS624 B to my laptop

One thing I definitely noticed, as somebody above have already mentioned, the MKM003s seem to produce MUCH better burns than MKM001s!

Will be getting them after I run out of 001s. Got 15 more left though :(

Didn't touch any EEPROM setting, standard flash.

And yes it's true, MKM003's produce better burns than MKM001's. I tried the same game on MKM001 and it had much higher PI rates compared to MKM003. Especially on L1.

Yeah, after installing Kprobe it just crashes my system with one of those nice blue screens. wtf!?

Is the Nero test suffice?

I got some strange results on K-Probe, why strange?
i'll tell you ...

First Burn:
MKM003 @4x, OPC enabled, ImgBurn 100% verified
good K-Probe, but doesn't work on console (stuck during loading screens, then "This disc is unreadable")




Second Burn (because first stuck on console again and again despite good K-Probe)
MKM003 @2,4x, OPC disabled, ImgBurn 100% verified
bad bad K-Probe but is working fine so far on console



Isn't it strange, that the good burn doesn't work on console, but the bad one works fine???

Has anyone any thoughts about that??
