Two Traxdata XGD3 burns using MSCE modified firmware (Ritek S04-066 to D01-001) to enable 2.4x burning as burning at 4x causes verify failures.

Burned with different settings as noted below. Even though both verify 100% and install to Xbox harddrive, my personal opinion is to stick with Verbs for XGD3. I did this just out of curiosity.

Image below:
@2.4x
Smartburn = Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning = Disabled
Online Hyper Tuning = Disabled
OPC = Enabled

Burned my own 0800 rip of Gears of War 3 on a crappy Memorex (RITEK, not Moser Baer). Skipping posting the Verb, as that burn was flawless. Thanks c4eva! Settings and graph image follow:

Speed = 4x (OPC on)
Smartburn = Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning = Disabled
Online Hyper Tuning = Disabled

I think your PI average may be a little too high buddy, i think its supposed to be 5 or below.
If you look, the Nero quality score was 93 which is greater than the 90 that über recommends. The point of the graphs were to show inconsistencies between the 2 programs. You still have to use some judgement in determining whether the scan is good enough for you.

Furthermore, PI errors can spike as high as 200 and PIF errors as high as 10. The point being, as long as the values don't remain high the disc is fine. Mind you this is a disc quality check, so naturally the lower the values the better. The higher the values, the more work a laser has to perform to read the disc. Consistent high values may mean an unreadable disc at various points during the game.

The guide is just that, a guide. It is not definitive.

I just dont seem to be getting good clean burns. Im using vetribatim mk 003 and burning at x4. Should i try with OPC disabled and burn at 2.4 speed.

Thanks mark

When i run through nero with my ihas124, the options of the read speed is 8x or maximum, why cant i test it at 4x ? i tried manually setting it in the options but it still wont work?

EDIT - just realised that the speed when running the test is at 3.92x but then increases during the test to like 6x. But, why are my results so rubbish all the time? i just seem to get different results everytime! im using verb 003 and the best nero disc score ive got is 84, then on other tests i get 64 :S, kprobe tests are always different also

Two scans, both with SmartBurn, OnlineHyperTuning and ForceHyperTuning enabled. The first burn was at 4x and the second burn was at 2.4x with with MCSE write strategy switch.

PS: Yes, these are AOne Plus/Gold discs and I know they are trash but I had some left and thought I'd check them out.
