Hi, I am trying to figure out if kprobe results really matter or not for proper burning of my backups. Here is the run down of my settings used and the approx results (this is a IHAS-124 EU drive which works with the payload, firmware 4L06, backup was patched): Imgburn is also set at 4x read speed using verbatim mk-003 discs. http://i.imgur.com/CJev9YZ.png Does the kprobe stats actually mean anything when it comes to the disk or can they be ignored for the most part? I have tried 3 times now, 2 disks for one backup (one works "test 2", the other doesnt) and 1 disk for another backup (same settings as test 2 except OPC was enabled) and kprobe also reported 66 errors and similar PI/PIF results for this disc. Thanks for any information anyone can give me.

Yes I have. I've tried a few settings I've seen other users use so far, but I can't seem to get the kprobe results to a acceptable range. Most of the PI/PIF is around the middle of the graph and after the first half there are very little. Is this because of the IHAS-124 EU drive itself or the firmware? I noticed most posts people are using the older 4L04 firmware and mine has the 4L06 firmware. I've also read that as long as abgx verifies the dvd as good it shouldn't matter as kprobe is just a benchmark tool. Is there any truth behind that?

I attached the imgburn and kprobe logs. I couldn't find the abgx logs and I don't want to run my disk through it again, but I can assure you every check sum was correct and all the output were green. The game works which is fine, I am just wondering why the kprobe results are so high and if it really matters for playing the disks (if it will harm the laser and such as I've read). All my media are verbatim non-printable dual layer disks mkm-003. Also this burn in the log was done in safe mode to see if the results would change, but I still get similar results in kprobe.

I created the backup at a friends house so I do not have access to the log although I am sure if abgx checksums were correct that the backup was good. Plus how would a bad backup effect the burn quality of the media?

Hey....I have the IHAS-124 E Firmware ver. 4L08. The games burn 100%, but they do horrible on Nero Disc Quality test. One game I have tried 3 times with different settings and I get disc unreadable. Did you flash the firmware on yours with c4eva's iXtreme Burner MAX Firmware for XGD3?
