Lan problem

i tried extensive searching on forum with little to no effect.

anyway i have 2 systems , one jtag(no way live) one lt+(xbLive)

the consoles don't seem to see each other in BlackOps lan

i understand i need to obtain the game update from somewhere

i tryed to add lt+ hdd to jtag system for update copying, but then i got e71 for some reason

could anyone point me to a better topic/fix/patch/patcher to get lan working on blackops

almost pressed thanks button but then tried and still no dice with the lan (ugh)

placed the contents of the rar file in the "0000000000000000" folder (16 zeros if i'm correct).

allso after that i discovered FSD's setting to DL and set active title updates . tryed to put both Tu4 and Tu5 as active but still no

both consoles are connected to the internet

Why are you putting the TUs "0000000000000000" folder on the Jtag thats news to me because any time i play live on XLink on the Jtag i bang them in the root of Hdd1 / Cache Folder.
The TUs need to be the same on both consoles or they well not see each other so ether have the TUs or dont which means you need to delete the TU from the retail 360 or leave it if thats what i think your doing.

doesn't cache folder empty in a while ? putting it in the designated place just seems smarter and more permanent .

Allso the rar allready included the folders 41560855/000B0000/

updating jtag one would be better for me scince i play on Live constantly and dnt want to update/remove each time i wanna play lan or live.

are there more updates on xbl or something ?

allso do i have to reboot in order to recognize the update

The thing is that the new update don't go into the Cache folder. Instead they go into their respective folders in the Content folder as you mentioned above. Therefore, putting only the TU file in the Cache folder won't do anything.

TU file in the Cache folder won't do anything.

Odd to say that now try getting on XLink without your TUs in Cache folder and you will be at it for a month don't know if i was in there on the newer dash yet though must check it out...

as far as i'm aware you cannot system link jtag to retail on Tu5 (black ops)!

Once you have the title updates in the correct location > content.... etc.

you will see the game but will not be able to connect!

reason: There are some additional security checks in latest title update

Dude just take a USB stick format it to the 360 then go to ur live box then to storage go to black ops and copy the title update from there to the USB then copy it back to the jtag.

damn thats what i needed (but didin't want) to hear

any hope for near future patches or smthng .

i thought i was clever by removed stock hdd entirely but it told me that it need a profile for lan .
thought id make a temp profile on usb but it failed to format (was fine before)

but i guess that would be the only soluton i can come up with
