First off I tried burning games on an ihas drive but at the end of every burn I got this error:
E 15:14:53 CompareImageFileLayouts Failed! - Session Count Not Equal (1/0)
E 15:14:53 Verify Failed! - Reason: Layouts do not match.
This caused other complications; the xbox didn't recognise the disks, kprobe detected the disks as empty and it left a dark ring around the centre

So after finding no solutions I sold the drive and bought an optiarc 5280S-CB-PLUS. I tried again but the problem persists. It seems like the problem is with the pc (possibly)?
So my final option is to try burning on the optiarc whilst connecting it to my laptop. Does anybody know if this adapter would allow the drive to function?

I use an iHas with my laptop connected through a generic sata to usb kit, never failed me once.

1. Which brand of DVD's are you using.
2. How is the drive connected to the laptop?
3. What software are you using to burn the iso's?

I would definitely not suggest buying this. It's meant for a laptop hard drive as it can function without 12v supply (usb only provides 5v and DVD drive needs 12v). You need a kit that has a sata to usb adapter as well as a sata power supply brick. I would go to your local electronics store to pick a kit up since many times the one's you buy online aren't compatible with most products (I.e. Cost less but work less).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UO6C5S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i would reccomend that adapter works great, a bit more expensive than other ones but dont cheap out i would say 20-30 dollars dont get a cheap one because it will literally kill whatevers powering it. I was using a cheapy and it ruined a old xbox orignal hdd thank god it wasnt something more expensive. I would even go as far as testing the outputs of the molex (a bit overkill but worth the piece of mind) to make sure its outputting the correct voltages https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or7_Za_dYBE
