this is not really the type of chat that should really be had in these forums - and to answer your question yes it is probably illegal to sell discs like that as you are not allowed to gain money on someone else copyrighted intellectual property. would recomend against doing so and this kind of piracy chat again.

hope that helped

With dvd's you don't really need illegal stuff to back them up, so its okay with a backup of your original. Its different with XBOX games, because to backup xbox games and play backup games you need an illegal bios. So even if you have the original, it would probably still be illegal. So it is definitely illegal to sell copied games.

If this helps, please add to my rep. Thanks. :)

Yeah, it's sketchy at best. Right now in the US there is a tenitive law about being able to make back-up copies of any software you own. I say it's tenitive because it has been revamped over and over again. There has been debates about the number of back-ups you can make, how you can store them (as in if you make a back-up you should still use the original) and what media is "allowed" to be backed up.

The way all this works is, if you buy a game you also buy the license to use that game. If your CD get's scratched or whatever you theoretically still own that license. So if you can find a copy of that game... then your still "leagle" but it's really REALLY sketchy.

Just be safe and don't tell anybody about the evil sh!t you do.
