LCD and Pro switch help

I modded my ver 1.6 with Xecuter 3.0ce and the face plate with built in LCD, USB, Pro switch. Xbox comes up and gives me a menu to lock/unlock HD and etc...What do the buttons do? My LCD comes on but does not show me anything...is this right? When I cycle the power I see it flicker but other than that I see nothing...I dont see any shorts (touching anywhere) but please post any solutions. I am a hardware guru...its the software and terms I don't know...I am a 'noobie' in the xbox world. When I cycle the switch and turn it on I get the call for technical help and "6" code. I currently do not have the original hd installed (I installed one from a parts xbox I have).

You should try puttin gthe original HDD back in the XBOX, because if I remember correctly, the 06 Error Code is indicating your HDD is locked to another motherboard. Put the original HDD back in and see what happens. And the screen that comes up, is it a blue flash BIOS screen? You should press the buttons on in this order: Off On Off Off. So the second one from the left side of the buttons should be the only one lit up.

Yeah, the original drive or just any old IDE drive you got lying around. Sounds like you have not flashed your bios yet, also. Read the bios flashing tutorial and follow it to get X3CL installed
