lcd & hard drive question...

ok i just got my xbox running with exox installed x3 chip with 1.6 motherboard...

um i also have the x3 LCD but i cant get it to work... now i know im suppost to get to the x3 live config screen ... I hold the white botton at boot up but i get nothing. i read a post that someone with the same problem stated that the problem was "that the instal of evox wrote over the bios file.." what am i post to do now?

one other thing i have a 300gb hard drive and its telling me i only have 120gb for games.... i tried to look for a solution on other posts but got tired of looking ( I read about 2 dozzen) ....

should i start from scrach and reinstall every thing... i just want the screen to work and to have my whole 300gbs .... 8)

As for the missing harddrive space.... You will need to get into your X3 CL screen and format the "G" drive to make the rest of your space appear.... I'm assuming that maybe you didnt turn off your flash protect when loading your evox dash on there? Also you did use the evox dash and not the bios right? You could also boot to your backup by holding the power and eject button at the same time and that should get you into X3 CL....

Why Can't i burn xBox360 Games??

So i just finished flashing my firmware and have moved onto backing up my games. I'm trying to copy MW2 but when i put it into my drive, my computer only sees 173mb of information. I have PowerISO, ImgBurn, and CloneCD and they all produce files bewtween 86.6mb and 173mb.

My computer is a brand new HP dv6 i-7 with the HP BDDVDRW CT21L: Dual Layer, Lightscribe, DVD multi recorder

Can my computer not read/burn these games or am i doing something wrong?

xbox 360 games are formatted in a system that normal windows drives cannot see them

you must either use an xbox 360 dvd drive with 0800 firmware flashed onto it, or a Kreon drive to rip games to your harddrive of your computer

And there's no software out there that can recognize the files on it?? I thought 'xBox Backup Creator" was supposed to be able to read and write these files?? wxRipper Perhaps? Im not really trying to flash my drive every time i buy a new game..

those programs are made to be used with the Kreon drive

like i said, its an issue with your dvd drive's firmware

I tried to burn the .dvd to my memorex dual layer DVD at 2.4x with a layer break at 1913760. My computer, like i said, is an HP dv6 i-7 with the HP BDDVDRW CT21L: Dual Layer, Lightscribe, DVD multi recorder

what am i doing wrong still??

Best using imgburn and go to the settings and change the booktype to dvd rom. There is a tutorial on this site that explains everything.

also, you do not mess with the layer break at all anymore

you run the iso through abgx360, which generates a .dvd file

then you use that .dvd file in Imgburn to burn your disc

Also, i believe it is impossible to burn Memorex at 2.4x, 4x is the lowest you can get

It's true, if you select the .dvd file, that file will set the layer break and the burn speed for you. If you don't select the .dvd file, but it's in the same directory as the .iso, then Imgburn will select the .dvd file on your behalf.

Still, I always set the default layer breaks and all that good jazz, can't hurt right?

Try using a different media to burn your games onto. Loads of people prefer verbatim, but I've always used Aone discs and have never had a single problem with them.

You can use WXRIPPER, but you have to follow the tutorial for it. I have a drive with the cover of it to make the DVD swap a bit easier
You need to start with a movie then swap it out for the game to copy it.. Look it up on Youtube.

Dude your drive is fine for burning.

To read you need to do one of the following:

1. Use a Kreon Drive, OR a xbox 360 samsung or benq drive with 0800 firmware on it and ck3.

2.Use WxRipper - 100s of videos on youtube on how to do it. .
