why is the hd always active on my friends xbox, i mean it never stops blinking and you can hear the hd crunching data continuously. he has a 40 gig maxtor in a v1.5 xbox with evox installed. I know its not supposed to do that because my xbox doesnt. it blinks when the game is idle. I dont think this is good and that the hd will eventually burnout if it keeps working continously everytime it is used to play games off the hd. I know that its supposed to be active most of the time especially when your playing a game off the hd but not non stop activity somethings wrong.
