LED removal?

Hi I have a X2 2.6 ce and like the hd and lan lights but find the other 3 bright grean leds rather annoying. Can you turn them off? Or can they be removed with no side effects to the xbox operation?

If you turn them off I believe the LAN and HDD lights won't work as well. You could remove them or put electrical tape over them. Although I would leave the enabled/disbabled light exposed.

Will this break the mod though? or will removing (desoldering the LED's) have no effect on its operation?

I don't see why it would, but there's only one way to find out. Put tape over them if you are that concerned.
