I haven't touched my 360 for a couple months, kids been playing minecraft like crazy.
I decide to play something and my left analog's up isn't working right.
Namely the game im playing is like many, if you press the stick a little, you walk. If you push all the way, then you run.
Currently I can move it 5-10º up-left or up-right and run no problem. As soon as I move the stick absolutely up, it will stop for a sec and then walk slowly. I can wiggle left and right and when hitting an angel, trigger the run again.
Is this something that might be simple to fix? Seems odd that it is clearly picking up the up, and works good in conjunction with left or right.
On that note, I have desoldered/resoldered the analog box before from old controllers.
Anyone know a site that has them at a fair price? Might want to get 4-6 then to just fix all my stuff.

Just wanted to post a follow up.
I ordered 4 replacement analog sticks and have come to some odd conclusions.
Initially FF13x3 had the running problem.
I tried playing Titanfall and sometimes the left analog would drift left. No problem, I got the spares.
Namely this was on my Black wireless. I have a white wireless and a white wired.
Long story short, I tested with left and right from black, white and the left white wired (the right analog on the wired was busted)
Those 5 plus the 4 new ones, every single one drifted left when in the left analog position. Some drifted left or right in the right stick.
Picking the best 2, I finished up the black.
Then when opting to use the next best 2 in the white, none drifted left.
I dont feel like swapping the blacks to the white since the white seems superior.
I only gave a damn initially because my black one has an led mod.
So meantime I switched trigger buttons and cases so the "black" one is the good one.
So it would appear sometimes it is in fact the controller that can have the problem as every single damn analog box I soldered into the left stick, would drift left.
I thought it was just the sticks themselves. In the case of the wired controller always right sticking to right, this was true.
Nice 2 hours spent however.
Id redo the LED mod if it wasnt for the fact it strained the hell out of my eyes last time.
Def need to invest in a magnifying glass then. I think I'd rather just pony up for a new new black one then.
