Hi. I'm not sure whether this is due to me needing an update or something else, but I'm out of ideas.
I just bought the game as a birthday present for my son and the thing isn't working no matter what.
I have RGH 360 SLIM with internal 350 GB HD and a 2TB external USB hd where all the other games are scanned/hosted on.
I've scanned the LEGO game to the external drive, but when I launch it prompts for the portal and does not detect it. It blinks the lights for half a second and that's about it.
I thought I got a lame portal, so I swapped the game at local store for a new box, same story with new portal, so there's very little chance of 2 portals having same behavior.
I'm not sure if my internet connection is working properly, I am connected to my network, I can verify that since I can see IP address in FSD at the bottom and I also when I go regular XBOX settings and do network settings it does connect with either automatic or manual setup to my local router and resolves the IP.
Here are the details on Kernel and FSD:

FSD Dash 3.0b rev775
Kernel 2.0.16747.0

I tried launching the game from disk directly as well and there is no luck as well.

Any help would be appreciated as my son's birthday is ruined because of this unfortunate turn of events!

Thanks!!!

It looks like I'll need to start a new thread now about how to un-brick my xbox. I tried updating my unit to the latest Dash as per guide. I have the Corona 4G and I followed everything to a T with the pictures and watched a bunch of videos to boot to make sure I'm not missing anything since I'm pretty rusty since last update.

Created a updflash.bin, flashed it, tried booting up, get the rrod now. trying to boot to Xell, no luck, tried tons of times with all USB devices disconnected, still can't get any Xell boot to startup up to at least restore to previous backup image.

Any suggestions would be appreciated otherwise I'm stuck with a brick, instead of having not to play one game, my kids will kill me for not be

What method have you used to update the console? I guess that since it is a 4GB system, the QSB is still soldered and you'll be able to write the nand directly, have you tried to reach whoever installed RGH for you?

Hi. Thanks for replying. First, I have attempted to contact the person that modded the box, and thus far he has not replied, even though I implied I'd compensate him for his time (I understand it's been a while since he worked on it so not everyone is a Good Samaritan).
Second, I used Simple 360 to do the dump initially and then to do the flashing of the update. I hard powered down the box once it reached 100% and started count down to reboot as per all the guides.
The only thing from my talks to the guy that did the mod that I can remember that I did not see in the video or in xebuid gui is that this unit had given him some hard time and it had to do with glitch2m. Don't know if that's what caused the image to f$&@ up my Xbox, but it's rrods now, and I can't boot to xell. He did make some kind of cable go out of the unit on the back for easy access just in case something happens I guess in similar instance, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Hi. Thanks for replying.
Apparently, I am one of those people that doesn't learn on even on his own mistakes.
At any rate. I've tried contacting the person that modded the unit, and even told him I'll compensate him for his time since not everyone is a good Samaritan, but thus far no luck.
I've had this issue once before and I've ended up sending it to him for restore (that time he was around, this time who knows)
The issue was as he put it that my unit was unique and as per him why my update fails because I did not do the following:
use rev 83ff autogg to build the image with glitch2m set active
He has put up some kind out switch and cable on the back of the unit just in case I [email protected]#$ the box again to reflash it, but I have no clue what to do with it. I'm attaching the picture for clarification. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

one more clarification, since I cannot seem to upload the picture of the cable link on the back of the xbox that the modder installed. it has the switch that says x360/R/W as choices and allows me to plug the soft cable into it that I'm assuming is soldered somewhere on the motherboard. the other end of this switch is a microsd plug that I can stick into a microUSB adapter.

I attempted to do so. and I do have a working one that I use on many occasions.

For some reason xbox only started up once (i did plug in the hdmi cable just in case in its port and even in my monitor port as well) having the setting in x360 mode. JRunner programmer nor PC did not recognized the xbox.
all consecutive attempts to start the xbox after I shut it down are rather fruitless right now. Not sure why it's not turning on every time. I've tried resetting the power supply (unplugging from power, etc) but pressing the start button or eject does not power it on and switching it to R/W or back to x360 does not do the trick and I am not plugging it into PC at the moment because while plugged into PC it was not booting up at all.

Any suggestions would be very welcome as I am clueless at what I am doing, but I believe that this is what the original modder added this for to fix any potential mess ups I could create.

thanks!

You have to switch it to R/W, then connect it to your pc, then you have to plug in the power supply of the xbox, but do not power it on. Then Windows will recognize it and it will warn you. Try to get there.
Good luck!
